U.S. Economy Shows 1.9% Annual Growth Rate Q1

According to a recent article in Builder Online, the U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 1.9 percent during the first quarter of 2012, which is slower than originally estimated.

However, analysts think the economy is growing slightly faster this spring, with annual growth estimated between 2 and 2.5 percent for the second quarter. Many expect the economy will maintain that pace for the remainder of the year, an improvement from the 2011 1.7 percent growth rate.
